The annual Pine River Summerfest celebration runs July 26-30 offers tons of family fun all weekend long.
The highlight of the weekend is the Summerfest parade which travels down Barclay Ave starting at 2 p.m. A car and tractor show happens before the parade at Pine River State Bank. Other activities include a flea market, arts and craft displays, Rhubarb Festival, walking tacos, kids inflatable amusements, a magic show, music, food and more.
Summerfest buttons are sold for $2. Wear one and earn giveaways and special deals all throughout town, while supporting Summerfest. Buttons are the main fundraiser for the event.
The annual Pine River Summerfest Medallion Hunt begins Monday, July 17. Clues will be posted on the Pine River Chamber Facebook site daily starting July 17 until the medallion is found. Clues will also be posted at various Pine River Chamber businesses.
The medallion will be hidden on public property, and no digging will be necessary to find it. It is a Summerfest button with a special number on it and will be covered in bright blue, shiny foil.
If medallion hunters register their new 2017 button at the Pine River Information Center on or before July 17 and they find the medallion, they will be eligible to win a $100 Pine River Chamber gift certificate. Anyone who is not registered and finds the medallion will receive a $50 gift certificate.
