The Best of Breakfast on the Whitefish Chain

Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast. Lucky for you, there are lots of choices for a delicious breakfast all around the Whitefish Chain!

Big scones are lined up in a pastry case at Stonehouse Coffee, a great spot for a lighter breakfast. Get there before noon to ensure they don't sell out!

Crosslake

Pine Peaks- Pine Peaks is probably the most well-known breakfast spot in Crosslake, though it also serves lunch and dinner. Options include all the standard fare: omelets, skillets, pancakes, egg platters and more. Sundays feature a popular breakfast buffet. While the restaurant is popular with hotel guests, it's separate from the hotel and open to the public. The adjacent gift shop is always a fun place to visit, too.

Crosslake Coffee- Crosslake Coffee makes their own baked goods, and every day holds a new selection. This is a great spot if you're looking for a lighter breakfast, such as a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich or a scone. Lattes are served with a miniature one-bite cookie, which is homemade and delicious.

Jenkins

A-Pine: The A-Pine family restaurant has been a favorite of Whitefish Chain visitors for generations. You'll find delicious homemade food at the A-Pine in a great atmosphere. Visitors love watching the countless bird feeders outside the restaurant while they enjoy steak and eggs, eggs Benedict, one of many skillets or much more.

Pine River

Cozy Cottage Cafe: Breakfast is served all day at this restaurant, which opens early at 5 a.m. According to their Facebook page, the cafe serves biscuits and gravy on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Pine River Bakery: For lighter fare, the Pine River Bakery has homemade donuts and other delicious treats, as well as breads and rolls. You'll find homemade cakes, adorable cookies and desserts of all kinds.

Pequot Lakes

Hungry Loon: The Hungry Loon has great omelets and plate-sized pancakes in a sunny atmosphere. Tasty coffee is brewed all day. Visitors love the multigrain bread and breakfast burritos, not to mention the fritter French toast.

Lakes Latte: Lakes Latte is primarily a coffee shop, but it has great breakfast sandwiches made to order however you like them. We recommend a bagel sandwich with sausage, egg, pepperjack cheese and green peppers.

Nisswa:

Stone House: Stone House is known for not only its freshly-roasted coffee (roasted right next door!) but also it's massive scones. While it's a lighter choice for breakfast, the scones are big and packed with fruit or other fillings. Popular choices include mixed berry white chocolate, lemon blueberry and maple bacon.

Ganley's: Ganley's is a greasy spoon in the best sense of the phrase, with a spot right on main street Nisswa. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, with classic breakfast options.

Pick a restaurant, any restaurant, and get fueled for your day of fun around the Whitefish Chain of Lakes.
