This weekend the golf-themed events continue. After last weekend's Frozen Fore, this weekend you can keep on swinging with the Ice Tee Open on Moonlite Bay. Who says that golf isn't a year-round sport?!
The Ice Tee Open in Crosslake consists of a day of golf set up on the ice of Moonlite Bay, hosted by Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant and Bar. Once again the event raises money for a great cause, Camp Knutson. The event will be Saturday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants can put together a foursome or come on their own and be added to a group. Bring you own golf club and the balls will be provided. Players will enjoy two nine-hole courses set up on the ice! This is a family event. Registration begins at 11 a.m. at Moonlite Bay the day of the event. Coming in costume is part of the fun, and there will be prizes for the best costumes!
In addition to the fun on the ice, the event will include a silent auction, raffle prizes, door prizes and food and drink specials.
Camp Knutson is a camp located on Manhattan Point, right on the Whitefish Chain, and run by Lutheran Social Services. Throughout the summer, the camp hosts several groups of people, including both young campers and families. Camp groups include those with or affected by HIV/AIDS, children with Down Syndrome, children with heart disease, children with skin disease and children on the autism spectrum.
This will be the 17th annual event, attesting to just how fun it is! Cost is $20 per adult or $10 for children under 14. There will be special kids' prizes! For more info, contact Jessica Eide at Moonlite Bay, 218-692-3537.
